Rightly soReader comment on item: [Brandon Mayfield Case:] "If You Are Muslim, You Are Suspect" Submitted by Janice (United States), Jun 4, 2004 at 20:10 Yes if you are a Muslim you are suspect; and rightly so; and not just since 9/11.As muslims have been in this country for at least 20 years...And U.S peaceful Muslims were silent, silent for 20 years not just since 9/11. I cannot believe that many of them didn't know the terror cells were entering our borders; I believe that many of them could have blown the whistle, but chose not to -- why haven't they spoken out against terrorism for the last 20 years or more, not just since 9/11?... Oh yes; some clerics have come out this year denouncing terrorism as non Islamic, but to me they are 20 years too late. Perhaps they're getting a little edge over their stay here. I for one will treat them with respect, but I have no respect whatsoever for militant Islam.
