Russia and China using Iran.Reader comment on item: Rooting for Ahmadinejad Submitted by Spaceman Spiff (Norway), Jun 14, 2009 at 06:09 Iran is being used in an effort by Russia and China to hamper U.S. In the security council, both nations protect Iran even though they KNOW and to some extend support Irans development of nuclear weapons. One can certainly ask themselves: What happens if Iran enters the Shanghai Cooperation Organization? Will Israel and US find themselves in a world war to stop the development of nuclear weapons? Nope, they won't attack and Iran with all its sattelite-organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah etc etc will grow increasingly more powerful. They key to solve this issue is that Russia and China stops blocking decisions in the security council. They WILL be next as they have already gotten islamic insurgents in chechnya and west-china. In the short term, however, they seems to be successful in occupying United States who is twisting their brain to figure out how they can bomb Iran without losing oil from the gulf. A great price goes to Obama from me if he can figure that out. Good luck, Mr President! Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
