Answer to "question".Reader comment on item: The Middle Eastern Cold War Submitted by batya dagan (United States), Jun 18, 2009 at 22:22 I was hoping that once Obama became the president of the US he will put away his old hatreds .That he will realize that he is now a president of multiple cultures , religions and races and that his Islamic education where he was taught to hate the Jews and kill the Jews will no longer play a part in his thinking and , most importantly , his leading the nation. You and I saw the "occasion " differently. You seem to think that Obama's "occasion" was always to destroy the Jews while I gave him the benefit of the doubt. It did not last long, I will say that. The writing on the wall was everywhere. When he bowed down to the Saudi king I knew that we are in terrible trouble.Still I hoped that he will respect past agreements Israel had with the US. When I heard that Obama does not care to do so I finally understood what is really going on here.Obama hates Israel and he and the people who dust his lapels are working on behalf of the Palestinians .After all , so said the real king. What makes it real bad is the fact that the majority of Americans are on the side of Israel. We have a president who does things against our own wishes.
