Really Batya, You think having BHO read Pipes would move the needle?Reader comment on item: Jordanians vs. Palestinians Submitted by sara (United States), Jul 30, 2009 at 19:38 I am surprised at your expectation that if only Obama were 'educated', he would change his policies towards Israel. Obama comes from a very closed political system of powerful democrat players and fixed belief systems when it comes to Arabs vs Israel. From his Pakistani friends in college and his travel there to find his identity, to the Chicago political anti-Israel crowd (that includes unfortunately Jewish Democrats as well, the likes of David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel), to his pastor Wright who identifies with Muslims, Hamas, Nation of Islam and berates Israel in his sermons and newsletter, and to such characters as Rashid Khalidi, a good friend, and Tony Rezko, a business and political partner. What expectation would you have of Obama changing anything about his policy, preconceived long before he took office, to better understand Israel?
