hope you are well...years ago, maybe twenty, a film student of mine, a former member of the p l o told me that the very worst thing to be in the middle east is not a jew but a palestinian...to explain arafat's apparent backing for saddam's invasion of kuwait: a palestinian working in kuwait works under contract, can never acquire citizenship...has no rights... in a dispute with a kuwaiti, even a minor dispute, there is an established procedure: the palestinian will find himself surrounded by policemen, his mother called a whore, he will be severely beaten, jailed, all his property seized, sent out of the country & warned never to return...
