Thought of something else.Reader comment on item: Calls to Settle Palestinians Living in Arab Countries Submitted by Peter Herz (United States), Aug 17, 2009 at 17:43 Back when I was in school, we had to read Longfellow's _Evangeline_. We were all taught to feel soooooo sorry for the displaced Arcadians of the 1700's. Yet, has anyone noticed that nowadays, nobody with a French surname from Louisiana is trying to get Uncle Sam into a shooting war with Canada to take over the Maritimes? Nor do I think that the USA will ever try to claim Viet Nam and Cambodia simply because a lot of people in California, Virginia, Maryland, Texas, etc. descend from those lands. And again, if Delhi-born Parvez Musharaf could sit down with Lahore-born Manmohan Singh to defuse tensions in South Asia, why are Falastin Arabs living in Kuwait, Syria, SA, Iraq, etc. "foreigners"?
