A leopard cannot change its spotsReader comment on item: Berlin Wall Fell, Obama Stays Away Submitted by Rebecca Moulds (United States), Nov 16, 2009 at 09:31 I cannot understand why this country was in turmoil over why President Obama didn't attend the ceremony in Berlin; it was just typical of him to choose not to go. His agenda does not include remembering the shameful past of certain atrocities against the human race. His agenda is one of developing a closer relationship to certain questionable countries and leaders, and he does this by stubbornly ignoring the warnings from those who know and are aware of how dangerous this road is. He neither cares nor listens to anyone who has more knowledge on a subject than he does. He avoids confrontations that would expose his ignorance on certain subjects. Nostalgia for the "good old days" is not a good premise for directing a country toward a better future. It was a mistake for Obama not to be present in Berlin, but it is more of a mistake that he was elected our president.
