Berlin WallReader comment on item: Berlin Wall Fell, Obama Stays Away Submitted by G Tirman (Switzerland), Nov 26, 2009 at 11:29 I find it ironic that while campaigning to become US President, and overcome criticism of his lack of foreign policy experience, Mr. Obama utilized the Berlin Wall as a backdrop for a campaign speech (much to the consternation of the Germans). Yet, now President Obama was unable to present himself for the 20th anniversary of what was one of the most defining occurences of the 20th century. Proof that actions speak louder than words. His foreign policy positions are disasterous. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
