THE ATATURK REVOLUTION HAS FAILEDReader comment on item: Who Lost Turkey? Submitted by shimon mendes (Israel), Jun 11, 2010 at 04:41 The corruption and decadence that lead Turkey to World War I on one hand, and the results of the war on the other hand, caused the emergence of Ataturk. Mustafa Kemal Pasha had a political dream, that Turkey should disconnect herself from the East. But in order to make Turkey as part of Eaurope, he knew that he had to elevate his country to the Eauropean standards. No doubt that he tried impose the reform on his people. But alas, he had failed. The only success of his vision is the transformation of Turkish language, by changing the alfabet from Arabic to Latin. But that is not enough. Experience has shown that assembling of Islam to Eaurope is very dangerous to the Eauropeans. The Turkish People does not want to leave the old tradion and embrase modern Eauropean one instead. The rejection of Turkey as member of Eaurope has prevented the invasion of Islam to this continent.
