WrongReader comment on item: Who Lost Turkey? Submitted by Asena (Turkey), Jun 12, 2010 at 05:16 Erdogan is actually losing support so he is using demagoguery with islamic speeches. Turkish army is very strong. Nobody should doubt about it. But Turkish army does not want to interfere with politics. In every military couple Islam came up stronger and stronger. so this time military does not want to follow the same mistakes. And I think they are doing right. Turks can never be islamized the way Arabic countries. Plus 21 Arab states can not agree on anything with each other. They have been & are being ruled by sheiks and autocratic regimes unlike Turks. How the hell Arabs will destroy the common "Zionist enemy" under these regimes (Look Egypt). That is such an unrealistic statement. What is happening is Turkey is that Turkey is trying to establish friendship with former Ottoman provinces. When British people have ties with their former subjugates, it is no problem. But when Turks do it, it is a problem. Think it that way.
