As a veteran of another time and place, my pursuing studies in communism is akin to current vets studing "Islam" as a serious intellectual pursuit, seems piontless, unless advocacy for "Islam" is a career choce. Don't misunderstand, I have full respect for all vets, and of course they can study whatever they choose, it just seems to odd to pursue indepth study of an ideology which has been trying, presumably, to kill you. One would assume that a decision, and hence enough knowledge to make that decision before going to war against Islamists in their own front yard. best regards,
