why NASA's really courting the muslim world

I have a similar feeling - I find it absurd and hard to fathom that the whole Islamic miasma can even exist in the 21st century on the same planet that I live on. But yet, tragically , it does

Yes - travelling at thousands of k.p.h. something weighing several tonnes would be absolutely devasttating if aimed correctly.

But I think I should allay your fears and present the real reason why Obama and NASA suddenly become best friends of the Islamic world. It is to do with a technology swap. Sadly, since the 80's and the Challenger disaster, NASA has gone down hill. There are no bases on the Moon - which should have happened by the turn of the century. The US is nowhere near sending a crew to Mars to claim its 51st state. A lot of this has to do with the fact that chemical fueled rockets are extremely high in cost, high in mass, low in speed/weight ratio, and if not set up absolutely correctly - dangerous in the extreme.

Obama saw this years ago - well before his backers sent him on the way to the White House. He's fully aware of how there is a dire need for a new method of powered flight - capable of travelling large distances with a an absolute minimum expenditure of energy . Such technology will put the US back at the forefront of space research - producing many spin-off products that will kick start the US economy

Obama, through his early training in madrassas in Indonesia - knows full well that the Islamic world sits on this incredible technology and does not share it with the world. Yes - you've guessed - the incredible 'Buraq'.

This latest machination of his is merely a ploy to discover where the creatures are kept - so that US scientists can obtain genetic samples - and to eventually gene splice the DNA/RNA. So that they will eventually be able to create a partially biologically based material that will be able to travel enormous distances at incredible speeds with no effort.
