Islamlic religion is the cause of poverty. ?

Greetings All,

The current state of affairs in Muslim heartlands-other than the Gulf states-is the result of COLONISATION by the European powers.Morocco, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Sudan,Iraq,Palestine all fell to European colonisation in one way or another within the last 200 years.The colonisers brought alien values ,education systems and religions.In the process they wrecked everything including the will power to improve and stand alone as nations Unlike the Gulf states who have abundant oil, these Northern Arabs had only people.Fortunately or unfortunately, depending how one sees it, the ex -colonisers had to accept them as citizens ; Millions of North Africans swamped to France, the region"s main coloniser,Iraqis ,sudanese went to Britain.The colonisers wanted to destroy Islam but they only succeeded in destroying some Muslims.

The Southern Arabs ;Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states escaped the European Imperial dragnet because they were very poor countries the last century and were not worth conquering.Only recently, they were blessed with abundant oil and gas but this time around , conquering other countries were not the "in' thing. World war II taught the Europeans a bitter lesson.As a result, these southern Arab states prospered, people became well to do in stark contrast to their northern and Asiatic brethren in Islam.They , with wealth and strong adherent to Islam are fast becoming an important factor in global politics and economy.

Therefore it is apparent that it is not Islam or Islamic system is to be blamed for the malady befalling the Northern Arabs in their countries and their brethren in host countries in Europe,It is the massive destruction caused by European colonisers on them that was the main cause. In countries where there was no massive colonisation, Muslim, Islam and Islamic countries prosper and are playing a crucial part in world finance and politics.
