The Travails of Modern Islam and a Solution to the ViolenceReader comment on item: The Travails of Modern Islam Submitted by Diana (United States), Oct 21, 2010 at 16:47 Mr. Pipes - I strongly believe that there will be another alternative to the violence that has plagued countries by extreme Islamists. I believe that democratic governments will greatly restrict the immigration of Middle-Eastern people into their countries. As one country has proposed, when a son or daughter commits an act of violence then the entire Islamic family will be deported back to their country of origin and not allowed back into that country. Eventually, countries should create a form of "social engineering" where Islamic countries are "forced" to repair, maintain, and keep peace as a norm in "their own countries" because immigration into democratic countries is severly restricted; particularly Canada, Europe, Mexico, and the United States. This religion is entirely too controversial and has caused a trememdous amount of distress among the residents of a country.
