what failure

Reader comment on item: Further Reactions to My "Bomb Iran" Argument

Submitted by myth (Germany), Nov 13, 2010 at 04:27

I find this irritating, thinking into the possibilities of US "military failure" in Iran. Nobody in Iran would seriously believe that the US could fail were they committed. That is where the two possible failures lie. The US needs to succeed on two accounts: ensure the US population support an attack on Iran and getting at least one major continental european power to actively support the intervention. I am thinking about France or Germany here. My personal opinion is it makes sense to leave Afghanistan in order to ensure full commitment.
