A sense of right and justice

The people of Egypt have show over that last few days that , contrary to the prevailing prejudices held by the 'west' there is a deep understanding of justice and freedom and a respect for life and also an awareness of political stratagies of control used by the authorities. The UN president is right. There could be elections held immediately if the Mabarak Government can be held back, it could be a non-violent transition to real democracy .The social change held back by the dictatorships in these regions will then have a chance to develop.
