Forgiveness for Infidels and Pagans

Dear Dr Pipes:

Can any of your readers cite verses from quoran that teach forgiveness, tolerance, and acceptance for infidels and pagans? "There is no compulsion in religion" and "if you kill one innocent then you kill the entire humanity" do not count. However, a statement like "infidels are good human beings as long as they do not cause harm to others" will count.
