more crocodile tearsReader comment on item: Back to the Shores of Tripoli? Submitted by the Grand Infidel of Kaffiristan (Australia), Apr 2, 2011 at 09:48 Mr Riaz - seemingly a transplanted Indian muslim living in the UK writes: "....West never was or is peaceful - the record says it all - ...'" A technologically advanced society is naturally going to have part of it's technological focus on improving its military. This is has been a theme of any society throughout history - from ancient Greece - to the very successful Romans, the Persian empire . Even the almost failed state of Pakistan has now emulated Western developments and now have their very own nuclear weapons. and does anyone really think that if every muslim country had a large number of nuclear weapons - they would hesitate to use them to rid the world of 'infidels' or threaten to use them to get their way - give what we've seen so far? So - better weapons technology and delivery systems are naturally going to increase the numbers of casualties in any conflict. We see this on a much smaller scale in the ready availability of Czech Cemtex and Chinese electronic timers for those most devoted followers of Mohammed who quite regularly (as a group - but of course only once as individuals) - separate their consciousness from their bodies in the delusion that they will be somehow rewarded for their stupidity and criminality. "....easily embroiled in world biggest battles and biggest killings of human beings from colonialism" If Mr Riaz had bothered to offer some facts along with his proclamations - he should also have pointed out that America itself did not get involved in the British and Free Europe altercation with that other form of Fascism - Nazism. The West was not attacking ay other group - WW1 and WW2 were inter-European wars. Indians were not targetted, neither were Africans nor Arabs. America only got involved directly inWW2 when Japan - a non western power - attacked it. And given the size of the powers involved and especially the goals that the Nazi Party had - is Mr Amin sorry that the Western powers won? After all , Germany was already well advanced in so many areas - including nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them - that had they not attacked Russia - we could very well all now be living under a swastika. But we would certainly not be enjoying the fruits of the labours of many jewish inventors and technologists. And in that case - what would have been the fate of tens of millions of Arabs and others regarded by Nazis as Untermenschen?? So should Britain and the US and Australia and Canada and New Zealand and the Free French NOT got involved then? Should we have just accepted Nazi ideology and done nothing? After all - we would have been OK - as Anglo-Saxon cousins - we met the Nazis racial criteria . So if we had done nothing - there would have been no bloodshed. So that would therefore leave nothing for Mr Amin to complain about. But also very probably - no Mr Amin at all. "...., WW1+2, Vietnam, Hiroshima etc till present day." Ah yes - Hiroshima. The event that stunned Japan by rapidly killing 100,000 of them and brought an immediate end to the Pacific War. Saving more than 2 million Japanese who were determined to fight to the death because of another religious delusion - that their Emperor was any more divine than they themselves were... Yet, curiously as mentioned above - for some reason the almost failed state of Pakistan has now developed its own nuclear weapons "It doesn't matter if West was Christian or now more or less Secular - it was made and defined by killings - USA, Australia - both by destruction of the native people. And yet you accuse other of being un-peaceful..." Is it too much to ask Mr. Riaz, that when making statements of any type - except your unprovable Islamic religious assertions that by their nature cannot stand up to any scientific or other scrutiny - that you present facts instead of your own opinions and beliefs? Australia did not kill all its native people. At the time of European settlement it is estimated there were around 350,000 - 450,000 aboriginals in the whole continent. If it was the intention of Australians to wipe out its native peoples - it could have easily done so at any time. Aboriginal tribes prior to European settlement regularly had their own wars amongst each other. There were skirmishes with aboriginals - some of them died and so did some of the settlers. There were occassions when settlers unfairly targetted natives ,sometimes leading to their deaths. But when these were brought to light - our legal system dealt harshly with the perpetrators- often resulting in capital punishment or lengthy imprisonment.. Aboriginals also died because of smallpox - a disease for which they had no immunity. Nowadays aboriginals own large tracts of Australia and have access to social security benefits that would be the envy of many muslims. Many retain their polytheistic beliefs quite happily. "....Sorry - but no lands have been as peaceful as Muslim Lands. " Do you include lands that were not muslim but became muslim after muslim invasions? Do you include Iran and Iraq too? "....Europe would have been extinct if it had carried on fighting after 2 World Wars. " Why would it have been extinct? But who and why would they be fighting after having vanquished Germany? Do you really think Europeans would just carry on large scale conflict for the hell of it? ".....America is young - it was Europe the heartland of West - and creator of USA. " Settled 400 years ago by Europeans - that is quite a length of time. It is not the 5,000 years of Chinese history - but still enough time to develop not a flawless but a sophisticated and democratic society . But this brings the question how do we define a civilsations age? Tun Estonia can trace its people history back 9,000 years. But even this does not hold a candle in terms of age of culture to Australian aboriginal society which can be traced back more than 40,000 years. But back to the point - America is an extension of European culture - so that can be considered an outgrowth a greater than 10,000 year old culture. "....50-70 million deaths in just WW2 ..." What do you care? After all - they were just infidels anyway. No crocodile tears please. "and killing of 6 million Jews?" You must be heartbroken! But , strange as it seems - so many muslims are on record as thinking the job was never done properly. Some even deny it happened . Here's a secret - the Germans are sorry about it. Isn't it just ??
