Several years ago I was in the taxi of a lunatic Iranian cab driver in DC, who believed Bahai, Mormons, and other infidels who worship a prophet later than Muhammad must all be killed. He would not become a citizen despite his many years' US residence, because he could not swear to uphold the Constitution since it guarantees religious freedom.
