lighting a candleReader comment on item: More Thoughts on Newt Gingrich and the Palestinians Submitted by Jules Posten (United States), Dec 17, 2011 at 10:04 anytime there is any type of dispute on facts regarding Israel and it small foothold in the present mid east situation, there is an immediate knee jerk relfex action to put the onus on Israel, no matter what.. whatever Mr Gringrich's political ambitions happen to be, what he said does have the weight of truth. witness the reactions, he's been branded an irresponsible raving nut case for stating what he sees as the truth and just pandering to the "Jewish Vote". Lately, Mr Obama has been making similiar advances towards this "voting bloc" with his pronoucements of how much he has accomplished in aiding not only our contry's secuirty concerns, but also how much he's always supported Israel and its security concerns. are these recent claims actually supported by the facts of his adminstrations acttions since he took office? i really think not. yet none of the knee jerk media or liberal establishment take him to task for his flip flopping, but continue to applaud his "actions" the "Mad Hatter's Tea Party still continues.
