You are very correct JanuszReader comment on item: Obama, "Respect" and Muslims Submitted by stas (Ukraine), Apr 6, 2012 at 01:39 This whole charade of calling for respect for religions and assigning moral equivalence to the manner in which each religion expresses itself is a sham. How does one pretend to respect a religion that dictates the disrespect for non Muslims that Islam tells it s followers to do? It is a travesty that we all ignore the elephant in the living room and appease them with platitudes and false compliments. That is not the way to establish true relations. Deterrence is a much more valuable tool than platitudes. The reason that the US was a stabilizing force in Middle Eastern countries was always because they were afraid of her military. Same goes for Israel. When they do not fear, then it is the rest of the world who should start to fear.
