A board certified Egyptian pediatrician is promoting female genital mutilation here in the US

I wanted to bring to your attention that Dr. Hatem al-Hag (also el-Hegaly) who is a board certified pediatrician and practices pediatrics in Minnesota and I guess in his spare time he is a sheikh and here is what he tells us about himself http://www.drhatemalhaj.com/about/

He is Egyptian by birth but he resides here in the US and he is a salafi and the good doctor provides his Islamic opinions and among them is that female genital mutilation aka el-tehara aka el-khitan is an integral part of Islam and here is what he wrote http://www.salafvoice.com/article.php?a=487

I really do not know what to say except if this is really true then he is despicable and should not practice medicine
