The Brilliance of the Father Through the SonReader comment on item: Mocking Muhammad Is Not Hate Speech Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Oct 24, 2012 at 11:31 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His Anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall He speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in His sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon My holy hill of Zion……….I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of Me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. This is the second Psalm, speaking clearly about the LORD as the ruler of all things intends to rule the earth when the time approaches. Yet we know that by the words of Yeshua, no one has ever seen the Father, who must be worshipped in spirit and in truth; only the Son sees the Father. Psalm 2 tells us how He intends for that to happen. The people of the earth in general are in rebellion, from the very beginning of this mortal realm on earth in the garden. Once sin entered, mankind from the very beginning needed a Savior; and the Son was elected to provide that salvation and then rule on earth as part of that process. In Isaiah 9:6, we are told about His regency, Deity and connection between heaven and earth. It is the only way an Almighty God, who sees us always yet we will never visibly see, will be connected by His design to His Creation, through the Son. In our salvation when we in faith believe in Yeshua, Almighty God has placed the Son between Him and each of us mortal beings, His is placed there to be our mediator which came by His obedience to the cross and the shedding of His blood to fulfill the Old Testament requirement for the final blood offering. This is done by the Son. When Joshua wrestled with the angel of the LORD, it was the Son; when the Hebrew prophets were in transport to heaven in visions, it was the Son they were seeing; when Abraham was visited by the three visitors as the LORD was on the way to destroy Sodom, it was the Son by whom the LORD spoke to Abraham. None of the prophets did exactly what the Son did; they could not; they were not prepared as was the Son. The Son was the only one who could be offered as the sacrifice since only He was born sinlessly. When we consider the birth of Yeshua, think about the DNA if the Holy Spirit was the means by which the X chromosomes were created. Only His blood could be considered perfect by the Father; thus His is the only sacrifice the Father could ever accept. Thus we have Yeshua speaking to the Jewish religious ruler: "No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, "that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And so that the 'Son of Man' nomenclature is not misunderstood, Adam was the first created man, but was a product of the eternal mind; for it is written: let us make man 'in Our image….' Therefore, it will always be the Father through the Son. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
