Shift to logicReader comment on item: Right wing hardliners gaining ground in Israel Submitted by Josef zuares (France), Dec 30, 2012 at 15:22 As Mr Pipes has tried patiently to tell, Israel has not shifted to the right but in fact to the" right "response to the Palestinians' impossible demands. We were more than generous to the Palestinians and that was in fact the biggest mistake. Arabs, and I was born and raised in an Arab country so I should know who I am talking about, are not a realistic bunch in their totality, and less when we speak of the Arabs living in our Palestine. Historically these Arabs have no rights to expect from no one in the west, especially not from Israel, and the people who have taken the time to learn the historical facts regarding this area of the middle east know what I mean, should actually take their grievances to the same Arab countries who chased them in'48 so their armies could do a cleaner job on the Jews living there. We Israelis have wished for too long to come to an understanding with these neighbours and now we have realized that all the heavy price we would pay in the future, considering the pains of the past, would not bring us closer to a fair solution.Arabs live by different set of standards than the people of the west, they will continue to massacre anyone and everything around them, for their vision of the future has no shape nor form, but their past ,yes their past,it still gives them a sense of fulfillment that denies any possible compromise. As Mr Pipes has suggested, the only possible and acceptable solution for us is that Jordan takes back to its bosom the rest of "its" people living in Samaria, and Egypt will do the same with its Gazan brothers.Let the Arab countries continue to lead their people like only them know how.The Palestinians have forfeited their chance to become a legitimate state because of their lack of real leadership.
