HardlinersReader comment on item: Right wing hardliners gaining ground in Israel Submitted by sara (Israel), Jan 2, 2013 at 01:54 There are no true hardliners other than the religious groups and the 'settlers' who are portrayed as extremists. The Likud government are pragmatists and politicians, just like everywhere else. None of them have the guts to create a position of strength from Israel that will allow a real option for peace and settlement. Ever since Israel started offering land and kowtowing to the Western leaders pressuring them to make them look good politcially, there has been zero hope for any real peace. The Pals are masters of propaganda and western vulnerabilities, they will keep pushing and perpetuating until limits are set. When they believe they have no choice, they will make peace. All the west does is feed their delusions.
