I do not understand where is the hateReader comment on item: Is Turkey Leaving the West? Submitted by Alexandros (United Kingdom), Feb 22, 2013 at 05:40 First of all i do not see where is the hate in what i write, maybe you can not even believe what your politicians say and you think that what i write is not true. Anyway i did not write that Erdogan does not recognise Greece, i wrote that Erdogan does not recognise Cyprus as a state and that he recognises a Turkish Cypriot State, the only country in the world that does both things. In addition, Turkey is not acting according to the international law or it applies it where it is for it's own interest. For example Turkey denies the Greek right for twelve miles territorial waters, when it has applied this itself in the Black Sea, Turkey denies the Greek EEZ and the delimitation of it under the principle of the middle line, it denies the right of the islands in EEZ, even though the international law is absolutely clear about this. I agree with you about the weapons, the only who gain from the weapons are those who sell them, but what else could we do, when you buy a lot more weapons than us and weapons who are clearly against the Greek sovereignty? If you want to look for people who hate then you do not have to look to Greece, just look your Prime Minister, a few months ago when some credit rating agencies downgraded Turkey, the first that came to his mind was to say that it is not possible for Greece to get upgraded and for Turkey to get downgraded! His opinion of course had no basis, because Greece is at bottom and Turkey is quite high, so they are two different situations without any connection. He is the one who brings the hate and through time it is the Turkish side that brings the hate! If you think what i write is not correct , then just check for yourself, if you disagree in anything come back and write your arguments. Your suggestions of becoming smart and wise usually were used from the Sultans who demanded submission, we are quite wise and smart not to submit to the neo-Sultan. We do not hate anyone we just want to be free and live in peace, but if we have to deal with bullies like Erdogan and Davutoglu to do that we will do that successfully. You have to understand that to your bad fortune you are a member of a State, which has no respect to any sense of international law, human and civil rights, an aggressive, provocative and bullying country and this can not be tollerated! I have nothing against you or your fellow citizens, i have even been to Turkey as a tourist, the police state made me a really bad impression, but i am 100% against the oppressive Turkish State. P.S. Just before the Greek Revolution there was a Greek Intellectual, maybe you know him, Rigas Ferraios, he was arrested and killed in Austria, anyway, he had written a Poem, Thourios, i was always wondering why in his poem, except from the Christians and the Roum, he is calling also for the Turks to join the Greek revolution against the Sultan, growing older made me understand.........
