Well presentedReader comment on item: On Second Thought … Maybe that Israeli Apology to Turkey was a Good Idea Submitted by Ira Feinberg (United States), Mar 29, 2013 at 13:20 Daniel Pipes "On Second Thought Maybe that Apology To Turkey Was A Good Idea" informed us that Ergodan who is an ego maniac, an anti-semite, and ambitious politician determined to become the pivotal ruler of middle-eastern activities is not too be trusted. However, the world moves on money and self preservation. Turkey is not Ergodan. Turkey has been historically a friend of the Jewish People, and today there is despite the vicious recent behaviour a burgeoning trade between the two countries. Secondly the Syrian crisis has highlighted that Turkey needs Israel for its very survival as the Arab world does not forget easily the treatment that Turkey dealt to them over the centuries. Turks and Arabs are not the same though they have a common Islamic background. I predict that Ergodan will be stopped sometime in the future in demeaning a very important Ally, Israel. Economics, geography, common needs, and self protection will trump the cheap politics of Ergodan. Israel and Turkey will be working together. The apology, and the swallowing of one's sense of pride and justice are words. Its the actions that count. "Sticks and Stones will break my bones but names will never harm me" The Turks will come back to roost in Israel.
