Stay out-- but Israel will be ever more threatenedReader comment on item: What To Do in Syria Submitted by stanley b (United States), Apr 1, 2013 at 19:07 That is the fallout from not intervening, though I also do not think that US intervention is a good thing (let them continue to fight each other). But I agree that the worst possible outcome is victory of AQ /MB factions. The Islamists are fighting on many fronts at the moment- Syria, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Mali etc. Any successes will not bode well for the region in particular and the world in general. All of that said, I cannot see how the US can justify involvement in support of either side (s)- propping up Assad, now officially guilty of war crimes, or either the MB or Shia backed Jihadist fanatic factions. There is no third option- the Free Syrian Army has been completely co-opted unfortunately. And even if we were to help build that up, the Islamists would step in immediately.
