BotheredReader comment on item: The Orthodox Future of Judaism Submitted by Simona (United States), Feb 25, 2005 at 13:28 I'm bothered by this article. Not because it is factually incorrect but becuase not long ago Mr. Pipes went on O'Reilly factor and talked about the right's new topic du jour about some professors who are anti-American, pro-terrorist. Yet, who is truly anti-American? Yes those guys are idiots and have no place in academia. But just this past December when a Jewish caller to the O'Reilly factor expressed his unhappiness that public schools are forcing Christmas on Jewish and other non-Christian children O'Reilly told the guy to move to Israel!Daniel Pipes should not be pandering to a man who believes that if Jews want to have the country they live in respect the seperation of church and state that is garunteed all citizens of the United states they should, in fact, LEAVE! Perhaps one of the reasons that Judaism is on the decline overall in the United States and around the world is that Jewish children have Christianity forced on them left and right. And when we dare complain we are told to just get up and move halfway across the globe. If Mr. Pipes values the future of Judaism I suggest that he not appear wtih talking heads who believe that Jews are not allowed protection under the Constitution and that it is perfectly okay for a Jew to have Christianity forced down his children's throats. Furthermore, it would be nice if he also did not endorse politicians who use the public forum to advance Christianity as the national religion.
