When these two can do it, who knows what else is going onReader comment on item: Niqabs and Burqas Used Benignly Submitted by Prashant (United States), May 6, 2013 at 04:15 Dear Dr Pipes, The stories of Herve Jaubert and Kalli Atteya illustrate another problem with Burqa that muslim societies should be particularly concerned about. You see, when these two untrained people can wear burqas and blend so well with the society in UAE and Egypt and can successfully do their clandestine activities, who knows what else is going on? Who knows many foreigners are roaming right now on the streets of Tehran, Cairo and Dubai and conducting espionage against the local tyrants. Or may be they should. Similarly, burqa might be enabling lots of thefts and extra-marital-affairs in these societies. I mean people are people and when they can take advantage of dumb things, they surely will. So the draconian rulers of these countries must be careful. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
