Here's hoping you're right but...Reader comment on item: Obama to Save Presidency by Bombing Iran? Round Two Submitted by Doug Mayfield (United States), Jun 27, 2013 at 23:09 I always look forward to your comments. I hope that what you're suggesting may happen. actually does, since ridding the world of a nuclear armed Iran is a goal which overirides any concern about an improvement in Obama's ratings and possible consequent increase in his ability to carry out his agenda. But I sincerely doubt it will happen. This is the same President Obama who has placed supporters of Islam and opponents of the one free country in the Middle East, Israel, high in his administration, removed material related to the dangers of Islam from FBI training manuals, groveled to Islamic leaders on his trip to the Middle East, consciously weakened the US armed forces at every moment and in every way possible, and generally done what he can to reduce the United States to just another country in a world which is increasingly dangerous. I suspect that he feels no need to improve his ratings because he knows that the American people are stuck with him for the remainder of his term. He can do what he likes, and is doing so, without any consequence of importance from his point of view.
