Who is BasharReader comment on item: Should the West Act in Syria? Submitted by yuval Brandstetter MD (Israel), Sep 2, 2013 at 05:43 I think its wrong not to point out that Assad is the guardian of his own people, the Alawites, and other minorities such as Christians. if the Sunni Arab states wish to stop Assad, let them spend their own personnel and money to do it. Keep the West out of it. . Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. And yet, the precise opposite is happening, with the Saudi foreign minister imperiously demanding that the West take care of Assad. See http://www.arabnews.com/news/463251 I will be writing about this. Reader comments (11) on this item
