Islam has indeed stolen the agendaReader comment on item: Jihadis Spare Muslims, Murder Infidels Submitted by Prashant (United States), Sep 24, 2013 at 21:42 Dear Dr Pipes, Besides the incidences that we encounter around the world, what is disturbing is that Islam has indeed stolen the agenda. Our ears, eyes, and tongues have been permanently altered to treat Islam differently. We discuss the directives about kiling everyone who is not a Muslim as if it is not a big deal of any kind. In a non-Islamic context, no one speaks this kind of language, let alone executing it. In the Islamic contexts, this kind of sentences are both spoken and executed. Our libraries are full of books criticizing Hindu, Jewish and Christian history and religious practices but when it comes to Islam we have been trained to put it on a fasle pedestal. Similarly, you cannot imagine that preaching of Islam or any other religion can be banned in America but we routinely accept the fact that it is banned in Saudi Arabia. But all is not lost. I think in five to ten years, serious criticism of Islam will start to come from renegade Muslims. It is just a matter of time. As I write this message, I am convinced that a Muslim highschooler somewhere in the world is realizing that defending something wrong under one alibi or another is more complex than admitting the truth which needs no support but itself.
