Faking a conversion and learning to pass as MuslimsReader comment on item: Jihadis Spare Muslims, Murder Infidels Submitted by Prashant (United States), Jun 18, 2015 at 13:55 Dear Dr Pipes, I do not know if it is indeed happening in our world that people have to learn to pass as Muslims to save their lives but I will accept it as true because you have given many authentic sounding examples. Perhaps converting to Islam or faking to be a muslim is the right thing to do if your life is in danger. But, first, any person who has reasons to believe that his ancestors were forced to convert to Islam under force, must be invited to convert out of Islam and must be protected by all right thinking people. This includes the recent converts like the Assyrians whose picture you published on Sept 14, 2014 and it should also include people whose ancestors converted to Islam years or centuries ago. This applies, of course, if these people indeed want to convert out of Islam. Islam should never be accepted as a one-way-street by non-muslims That said, why is our planet taking this garbage from the fundamentalists. EIther people like the Kenyan Governor William Gitau (whom you quoted regarding forced conversion in Kenya) must be held accountable for their lies or their statements must be treated as truth and our planet must revolt against forces like Al Shahab and ISIS. Why is everyone silent? Why are muslims silent? Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
