The British Library is not immune to the mass psychosis afflicting Absurdistan: it appears to have banned the good manners of informal polyvalence in favour of offence-seeking monitors who have neither the education nor the wit to make decisions on behalf of its readers.

It might turn out, however, that in this case the glaring inconsistency may prompt a review and reinstatement of your website.
