Sarajevo source of the worst day in history :: Reader comments at Daniel Pipes

To my limiited understanding, the Sarajevo assassination brought together the two axes, each had pledged alliances; when this shot happened, the alliances were called upon. Same with Vietnam, the US had sworn to honour its alliance with South Vietnam, to stop the spread of Communism. And so...

Now, alliances no longer hold water, who is to know if we are better off.

Escalating world tragedy happens when wait too long, and if we fight to win, or even name our enemy.
