20.01.1942 a worse dayReader comment on item: The Worst Day in History Submitted by myth (Germany), Jul 1, 2014 at 09:59 True, the shot that triggered WW1 resulted in the death of millions. It was more the unseen number of dead soldiers than the nature of the killing that defines WW1. I consider 20.01.1942 a far worse day for it concerned more than soldiers. On that day a few men of the German government met at the Wannsee to have a conference. They deliberately agreed on a death warrant for new born babies branded Jewish. To me that is far worse for it leaves us with the only conclusion that true evil exists in man. Looking back one more time, it leaves us with war as the only means to defeat true evil.
