There is no choice but to accept ads about IslamReader comment on item: Public Ads for Islam in the West Submitted by Prashant (United States), Jul 9, 2014 at 03:27 Dear Dr Pipes, In the blog "Da'wa ads in the west' you cited many examples where ads about Islam are shown in public places in the west. Many of us may be troubled by the anti-democracy, anti-peace, and anti-freedom stance of the Islamists but we have no choice. In our system of living, we value freedom and advertising and free speech is everyone's right. The need of our times is that this Islamic propaganda is matched with strong rebuttals in favor of democracy, freedom, non-Islamic religions and against the hypocrisy of Islamists. The free world's conflict with Islam is a clash of ideas. Certain sections of Islamic societies do not know what freedom means and for them golden rule has no meaning. In the next few decades one set of ideas will win over the other. Lamenting the ads put by Islamists is not the solution. We must lament the lack of advertisement and propaganda from our side.
