If I were an extremely Orthodox believing Jew, I'd imagine that we're in the time of Moses, or another subsequent Jewish prophet leading "His People" to victory by setting the Strategic conditions of the world for Us just right. Here I think is an excellent news analysis which agrees with my view, as well as that of Daniel Pipes - with an explanation of why as well:

"For its relatively free hand in Gaza, Israel can thank Assad, Islamic State and the Donetsk People's Republic"

"Having pocketed the U.S. administration's support for the Israeli incursion, some gevalt-addicted Jewish leaders are now complaining about its insistence on mentioning Palestinian casualties, as well."
