True Christianity Dependent Upon Jewish Roots - The WORD of the LORDReader comment on item: How Church Attendance Affects American Attitudes toward Israel Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Sep 4, 2014 at 13:43 Dan writes: [There are tens of thousands of different denominations and sects, each claiming to be the "true form of Christianity" with their own canon, bible translations, interpretations, doctrines, saints, etc. How can Jews take Christianity seriously when it is so fragmented and contradictory?] This is an ages old question that to date, is still under scrutiny from all of the above mentioned denominational perspectives, plus all the non-Christian quarters that would love to prove Christianity has never been what it claims to be (one of the main premises of Islam). For all of the complexities that have been injected into Christianity, all of it can be swept away by making and acknowledging one simple Truth: all Christianity takes its truth from believing the Scriptures as they are declared by the Spirit of the Eternal Sovereign of Israel: baruch HaShem Adonai. Elsewhere in this forum, Christianity has taken hits from just about every faux-Christian/non-Christian perspective there ever has been and guess what, Yeshua still lives. This cannot, not ever, be taken away. Mortal humanity has not and will not ever be greater than the Truth that still reigns over mortal affairs now and forever. That having been said, a question: Christianity has its derivation from Judaism; so how does a Judaic perspective process Christianity in order to reveal that which is promised to be revealed in times like this? Answer this: who is the Son of David, Son of Man as prophesied in the Torah, Neviim and Kethuvim? The Jewish rulers at the time of the beginning of the Common Era knew what the Prophets said, and yet did not believe them when the time was theirs to apprehend the Truth. Therefore, they turned Yeshua HaMashiach over to the Roman authorities for crucifixion. Now, here we are nearly two thousand years later and what do we know? By Dan's inquiry, the religiosity of the mainstream faux-Christianity has done itself no favors and surprise, much of it does not represent the 'true church' as founded by her Savior, HaMashiach. Then who does represent what Yeshua founded? The Scriptures provide the answer, if one knows what to look for, and more importantly, understand what to believe. One must separate the religiosity from the truth and seek the answer of the ages: how does one obtain eternal life? Who answers that except the One that gives Eternal life, the One who gave us the Sh'ma, the Torah and the Prophets, the same One who said not a jot or tittle of the law will be eliminated except that it be fulfilled, Yeshua HaMashiach. Therein lays the crux of true Christianity; all the rest is religion and categorically questionable by Judaic scrutiny if it does not meet the litmus test of the Truth of the Eternal Sovereign of Israel. Yeshua does not only meet the test; but He also developed it and applied it to His first advent and visitation as the Servant of Isaiah, the Son of Man. When He returns to Israel, He will be the conquering Savior, the Son of David, upon whose throne He will sit. There's nothing fragmented about that. But the mainstream proponents of religiosity will still debate that until it's too late; and Judaism will be confronted as Zechariah has prophesied and the rest of the world is forced to capitulate to Yeshua as the Holy One of Israel.
