The consequences of opening some doors, and closing others.Reader comment on item: "U.S. and Turkey to Create Fund to Stem Extremism" Submitted by David W. Lincoln (Canada), Sep 26, 2014 at 13:00 Peter Oborne uses these words, "Three armed groups have proved themselves capable of confronting Isil on the battlefield – the Syrian army; Hizbollah; and the YPG, a Syrian Kurdish militia. America and others are not prepared to work openly with any of these, because doing so would destroy the alliance with Saudi Arabia, and hence the anti-Isil coalition. " in http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/11118838/Air-strikes-play-into-the-hands-of-Saudi-inspired-jihadists.html Therefore, because doors were closed, and others opened, Obama prefers to look like he is getting something done, than actually demonstrating he is getting something done. Therefore, expect the US to be kept out of the loop when it comes to what needs to be done to protect the interests of Kurds, Druze, Turkomen, Christians, and others who don't want to be dhimmis.
