Kosahri rocksReader comment on item: Hunger Growls in Egypt Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Oct 9, 2014 at 16:19 Dr. Pipes Koshari is the ultimate nutritious meal. It is a mix of rice and macaroni (very good source for carbs and energy), It also has plenty of black lentils that are loaded with very healthy proteins and fiber. Then added to this mixture delicious fresh and spicy tomato sauce (good source of vitamins and lycopins) and fresh and yummy fried onions with great garlic and the end result is a meal fit for a king or a poor man'woman or child and on top of all of this is still an affordable meal Egyptians also eat lots of beans (Fava beans called Foul) and the very delicious and inexpensive Ta'miyya (Felafel in the rest of the Middle East) Yes there is hunger in Egypt but when Egyotians eat they tend to eat better than poor people here in the US and yes they do have a real problem with morbid obesity and type 2 diabetis but you see such health problems among the more affluent middle classes that can buy fast food American style the likes of MacDonald's burgers
