The realityReader comment on item: How Turkey Went Bad Submitted by Paul Jones (Australia), Nov 26, 2014 at 19:04 No matter what one's religious beliefs are, the natural course of political history is of the strong (economic; cultural; scientific), dominating and replacing the weak. For example, the European expansion into the Americas, Australasia etc. For example, all Muslim populations (except for the Turks) live on lands that are not required by the industrialised nations. The Turks were rapidly cleared and replaced in the Balkans after 1900. They were about to be replaced in Asia Minor as well. The Russian Revolution stopped this in mid flight. No matter how brilliant a single general was (Ataturk), the Turks were not going to survive the Russian advance from the east. Instead, the Bolsheviks handed their heavy weapons to the Turks, who then managed to survive. We thus have an unnatural situation where a third world race occupies first world real estate. This situation will not last forever; cannot last forever. As soon as the powers that be realign, nature will take it's course.
