Is CAIR a terrorist group?Reader comment on item: Is CAIR a Terror Group? Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Nov 29, 2014 at 16:04 Dr. Pipes Very good article > After decades of working closely with the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) and its related >institutions, the Persian Gulf monarchies (with the single, striking exception of Qatar) have >come to see the MB complex of institutions as a threat to their existence. stitutions, the Persian Gulf monarchies (with the single, striking exception of Qatar) have come to see You hit the nail on the head. In Arab politics as in politics in general "dog eat dog" and Arab leaders learned the lesson from Egypt and that is in-order to get rid of let us say the MB ban them, dehumanize their members and declare that the MB is a terrorist group and it seems to be working and for those following the news from Egypt the MB and the salafists were supposed to have a "massive" march againt the "Coup and el-Sisi" in Cairo on 11/28/2014 but no one showed it and it was a bust >The Saudi, Emirati, Kuwaiti, and Bahraini rulers now view politicians like Mohamed Morsi >of Egypt as their enemies Very true. Morsi was a pathetic character who was in charge of a terrorist group that was supported by the US amabssador to Egypt as well as by Obama and the Egyptians cannot forgive the US for supporting terrorists and what is most astonishing is that it is not just Morsi but the other Islamist Erdogan is despised and ridiculed by the press in Egypt so Turkey is not far behind and I would not be surprised if Turkey is listed as a country that supports Islamists and terrorists >as they do Hamas and its progeny The Egyptians have been saying for a while that Hamas is a terrorist group and it is very surprising that during the recent war in Gaza many Egyptians were very happy to see Hamas being mauled by the Israelis – including CAIR. I have not been able to find what is really terrorism and what in really a terrorist organization or group as far as the leaders in the Arab world are concerned but in the case of CAIR the Egyptians regard it as an arm of the MB and if so then it is a terrorist group As for the US: No one seems to care anymore about what our leaders in Washington think or want. It is really sad but the US's prestige has declined in the Arab world thanks to Obama
