Reaction to Islamist attacks on cartoonistsReader comment on item: Images, not Words, Most Disturb Islamists Submitted by Richard H. Shulman (United States), Jan 16, 2015 at 21:47 WNET declined to publish the latest cartoons mocking Muhammad. Its stated reason is that it is more offensive than newsworthy. That reaction misses the point. The point is that Islamists are in jihad, a total war against civilization. They claim to be insulted by any criticism, however truthful. Any critical statement they find offensive. So should we stifle all critical discussion of Islam? Then they win. Meanwhile, their discussions and sermons insult other religions. Should we tell them before they ask us to withhold statements against their religion, they should withold statements against other religions?
