I have been following Marine Le Pen and her notorious father for some time, in French. Although her father has said some unsavory things regarding, say, the holocaust ("un point de detail"), I still feel that Jews would be safer under him than under the socialists. As for his daughter, she comes across as quite pleasant, intelligent and reasonable. Nothing she says is "extreme". She simply wants to save the France she knows, and I hope she succeeds. (Not that France is without sins, such as enduring anti-Semitism among the elites as well as Muslim militants.)

Anyway, it has become clear to me how the left-leaning media simply slanders with words like "racist", "Islamophobia", and "right-wing". And I used to be left-leaning myself! Still, it is reassuring to hear someone as qualified as yourself give at least a tentative stamp of approval. Fascists these are not, except perhaps for a few geriatrics from way back when.
