Lost Diplomats Just Step on the GasReader comment on item: Lost Diplomats Just Step on the Gas Submitted by Ethan Corey (United States), May 6, 2002 at 09:55 The single most important step that the Bush administration can take to combat Arab irredentism is to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem. Until that happens, America is sending a message to Arab countries that it believes that Palestinians have a legitimate claim to Jerusalem. Once the embassy is moved to Jerusalem, Arabs will have to face the reality that their maximalist demands will not be met.Would this be a slap in the face to Arabs? Yes. Is a slap in the face (or more than one) needed to bring Arab governments back to the real world? Yes.
