Cruel Hoax: Is History Repeating Itself?Reader comment on item: Lost Diplomats Just Step on the Gas Submitted by William J. Sturm (United States), May 7, 2002 at 07:43 When the war against terrorism waged by Israel in the early 1980's ended due to American pressure, 10,000 of Arafat's PLO terrorists, rifles in hand, were escorted out of Beirut to safe bases in Tunisia and othe Arab lands. Now, wasn't that a real beaut of a move? This morning I found a line in a 1943 book entitled: "Before Making Important Decisions" by Roger W. Babson, page 21: "Another thing I learned from experience is to try not to use money, proxies or power to force through my own way." Is anyone in Washington listening? Now, it is May 7, 2002 and we are about to force Israel to release 30 hard core terrorists to go and vacation in Italy. Has the entire world gone completely mad? America is a lot "broker" than I first thought if they brokered this stupid settlement! I wonder if these travelers are also going to be given funds so they can enjoy their vacation. What are these poor fellows going to do once they get fully rested? No...you are not thinking what I am thinking are you?
