Military force - not appeasement - will bring peace to Israel and safety to its citizensReader comment on item: Business as Usual in the Palestinian Authority [after Arafat's Death] Submitted by Ralph C. Whaley MD (United States), May 17, 2005 at 13:32 The only rational solution to the Arab goal of destroying Israel is a total military defeat of the Arab nations dedicated to the destruction of Israel. An individual cannot negotiate with a murderer in the act of trying to kill him. A nation can not protect itself and survive by negotiating with nations waging war against it. Total defeat means destroying both the capability and the will of the Arab aggressors to wage war. Israel has the capability. It lacks the moral confidence to act. Israel is doomed to destruction until it understands these facts and acts accordingly.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
