Dan, Have Faith in the Fighting JewReader comment on item: Business as Usual in the Palestinian Authority [after Arafat's Death] Submitted by Dave M. O'Neill (United States), May 21, 2005 at 10:09 I truly understand your sceptisism given the Oslo experience and the events you describe since the installation of Abbas. However I still cannot believe that a man who has devoted his entire life to bravely defending Israel against the Arabs would repeat the same blunder that Rabin did in the early 90s. My own theory is that Sharon's is gambling that ultimately (hopefully not too far in the future) Egypt and Jordan will move to take over Gaza and the West Bank They will do this because with someone in charge in Israel that they know will not allow Hamas, et.al., to bash-bash Israel proper, that they will turn on them (remember Black September). Keep up the good work.
